Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community. In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service and life in general.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Library Administration Assistant to commence at our Pakenham campus in Term 2 this year. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment and provide important assistance to the Head of Libraries, who oversees all Chairo libraries, in ensuring efficient library systems across the school.
Some key responsibilities include assisting in the following ways:
· Ordering books and managing resources
· Promoting whole-school library events
· Using Canva to design marketing materials across all campuses
· Maintaining school library digital platforms and content
· Supporting consistent library operations across all campuses
The position requires the following qualifications and experience:
· Strong ICT skills and attention to detail
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Prior experience working in a school library (desirable)
The successful applicant will need to be in agreement with and model Chairo’s Statement of Faith.
