Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community. In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service and life in general.
We are currently seeking the services of a dedicated School Administration Officer at our Pakenham campus, commencing as soon as possible and working five days per week during school terms, plus some work during term breaks as required.
The successful candidate will be supporting both the Head of Junior School and Learning Support Coordinators.
Some key responsibilities will include the following:
· Setting a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice, manner, relationships and general lifestyle
· Handling enquiries from parents, students and staff members
· Supporting the planning of events and attending events as required
· Maintaining student records, including in relation to attendance
· Collecting and monitoring student data to support the Learning Support Department
· Undertaking general administrative duties to support both Junior School and the Learning Support Department.
Having obtained relevant experience in administration, the successful candidate will also possess the following important characteristics:
· Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith
· Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
· Friendly and professional demeanour
· Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
· High standard of keyboard skills and computer literacy, including MS Word and Excel
· Attention to detail with high proof-reading skills and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
